LAPAROSCOPIC COLORECTAL EDUCATION
The SWLC is a Department of Health Sponsored provider of training for consultant colorectal surgeons and their teams in England. We offer a variety of training opportunities that are tailored to the needs of the individual and encourage a team approach to include all relevant staff members.
Our clinical training model is an extension of the ACP Preceptorship programme, where the learner gains most experience in their own hospital. We feel that it is important that each consultant gains this experience in familiar surroundings, in partnership with their surgical team. To support this we provide Enhanced Recovery Team training and theatre practitioner education.
We also offer dry skills lab training, cadaveric surgery courses, clinical immersion events and have developed strong links with established commercial partners to offer access to wet labs in Europe.
